1966 Bultaco Metralla

What do I say about a 40 year old bike that weighs 250
pounds and has 32hp ... This two stroke is so much fun to
ride and seems to rev and rev and rev more.

To the right is a photo of my bike outside New York's Ear
Inn. For those not from NYC, this is the weekly Tuesday
night hangout for motorcycles on the island of Manhattan.
On any nice weathered Tuesday night, there is a great
collection of bikes there and I highly recommend you visit.

As for the trips there and back, on the BMW R1200ST,
Jennifer has clocked me at over 85mph between lights on
the West Side Highway.

Beside the narrow tires, this is an incredible and wonderful
bike if you have the chance to ride or own.  Do not
hesitate once, as someone else will grab this seat fast!!!

An incredible Metralla site

1967 Bultaco Metralla Model 23 Café Racer was sold on ebay on 01/24/05 for $2,395.00 (Item
number: 4522554891).  The following is the description of the bike as described in the auction.

"OK guys here is your chance to own a true classic street racer. We were in the process of building a Kit
America based café racer. We got as far as disassembly and picking up the tank and seat base. The
bike is complete except for cables, seat foam and cover and paint. This would make a great AHRMA
racer or a unique street café racer. As I mentioned there is a new Kit America gas tank and seat base in
gel coat. 95% of the bike is original except for the café bars, NOS Beston grips, Tommaselli Speed
throttle, tank and seat. The motor (ser.# M2300923) has great compression and has the original AMAL
carb. The VDO speedo shows 5118 miles. All parts including the fenders are in great condition. Don’t let
this slip by you these thing are getting hard to find in any condition. Please email me if you have any
questions or need additional pictures. I think the Metralla should ship in 3 boxes."

collectable. Please email any specific questions, pictures should give a pretty good idea of the condition.
